Supported Child Development (SCD)
Our Supported Child Development service provides flexible, community-based support for children and families — wherever it's needed, whether at home, in childcare, or in the community.
We support children up to age 12 (and youth aged 13–19 on a case-by-case basis) who may be experiencing developmental delays, behavioural challenges, or require extra support to participate in public programs such as daycare or preschool.
Families accessing this service are partnered with a professional consultant who works collaboratively to develop a personalized support plan tailored to each child’s unique strengths and needs.
Your consultant will help you:
Priority is given to children whose parents or guardians are working or attending school, to help ensure access to inclusive childcare and early learning opportunities.
No formal diagnosis is required to access SCD. This is an inclusive service available to any family seeking support.
