    • HomeShare Provider

    Our HomeShare Provider program is an excellent opportunity to get involved with inclusion powell river without committing to a full-time care position. As a HomeShare Provider you can open your home to an adult with a developmental disability or traumatic brain injury while maintaining your regular work and home schedule.

    As a HomeShare Provider, you might live:

    • On your own, with a spouse or partner, or with your family
    • In town, rurally, or on Texada
    • In an apartment, condo, or house
    • With or without pets

    Most importantly, you are interested in including another person in your home and building a long-term relationship with them.

    Building a trusting relationship with someone outside your regular cohort is a rewarding experience. This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know someone you may only meet in your role as a HomeShare Provider.

    There may be times when your role as a HomeShare Provider, with the guidance of a professional, will require you to follow a support plan to help the individual with:

    • Behaviour modification tools
    • Coping skills
    • Improving their autonomy

    Ready to become a HomeShare Provider?

    Follow these four easy steps.
    The number one

    Fill out an online application form.

    The number two

    If your application is approved, submit a criminal record check.

    The number three

    Schedule your in-home interviews (there will be more than one).

    The number four

    Open your home to an individual when there is a mutual fit.

    It's the sense of family

    🏡HomeShare Providers work as contractors with inclusion powell river. This means you are not an employee and are responsible for tracking your own income and expenses. You will, however, receive tax-free compensation.

    🏡Our screening process involves a criminal record check and several in-home interviews. This is to ensure we set everyone up for success.
